OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES
Group Tying Games
If you want to get to know other people in a fun and chaotic fashion, these are the games for you! We’ll be splitting you into small groups and setting you a theme to create a group tie for in a time limit… then doing it all again. You don’t need to know how to tie and the group will have a mix of tops, bottoms and switches. Just bring a sense of fun! All will be explained on the day.
Foundations Course – Session 1
If you want get started with rope, or brush up some rusty skills, this course is for you!
A foundations course will be running at the beginning of 2025 for tying pairs, starting at the end of January and running for 4 sessions across the various peer ropes. It will be the perfect way to build up a solid foundation to your rope play.
By the end of the course you will know the basic building blocks of rope and how to use them to create different ties, you’ll be able to play with rope with a variety of emotions and energies, and you will understand basics of risk and consent in rope. Places will be limited to 6 tying pairs, and you should be able to commit to all of the sessions.
You do not need to have any rope experience to attend the course, we’ll start at the beginning. It will be a very practical course with a focus on tying rather than talking. The sessions will run from 2pm to 5pm on the following dates:
January 25th (Day Peer)
February 8th (Monster Peer and Party)
February 22nd (Day Peer)
March 8th (Monster Peer and Party)
You must attend in a tying pair, and riggers must be prepared to do some practice in between the sessions even if it’s just tying yourself or a chair to get the most from the course. Whilst we do have rope to lend at the studio you should have some rope of your own to get the most from the course, and you can contact us to discuss if you have any questions.
It does not cost any extra, and will be the equivlent of a Regular ticket for each person to the peers. We strongly encourage you to come to the parties to do some rope play on the Monster dates, and the course is designed to ensure you will have the skills to do so. Please do not buy a ticket to the first session on January 25th if you do not intend to buy tickets to all of the rest.
If you would like to attend the course, please buy a Foundations Course (Tying Pair) ticket for the first event on the 25th January, there will be equivalent tickets for course members listed for the future events.
